We are Chukster Studio – a dynamic multinational team based in Copenhagen that helps brands tell their unique story. We create work that engages, and starts conversations. We specialise in designing and developing all aspects of a brand's presence, from identities to campaigns, packaging to photography, and advertising. Whether launching a new brand, or rethinking an existing one - working closely with our clients is at the core of our workflow. With the ability to communicate in multiple languages and a passion for different cultures, we understand how to design and market for a global audience. We share an interest in product, quality, and sustainability, in taking a stand and making a difference. Our creative approach is driven by curiosity and a passion for experimentation, for the humorous and the unexpected. We listen attentively and want to tell the stories that matter. Rebecca Meyer
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A Swiss brand strategist and designer, who once described her style as “the aesthetic of a hormonal teenager paired with the conscientiousness and analytical skills of an elderly science professor”. Having worked for many years in the fast-paced and competitive video game industry, and with clients from diverse backgrounds, she knows how to find the right tone for each brand universe. Rebecca’s ultimate skills: bossing people around, talking about that book she is going to write one day, and laughing loudly!
Steven Hubbard
Creative Director
Steven, a former competitive wear and running shoe designer, brings a wealth of experience as a Creative Director for several international sports and tactical brands. His extensive knowledge of designing and marketing products to different consumer types allows him to adopt a comprehensive approach to the design process. More importantly, although Steven is British, he is actually a direct descendant of the viking King Ubba, son of Ragnar Lodbrok, and therefore the rightful heir to the throne of Denmark!
Petra Penlau
Visual Designer
Petra hails from the great city of Copenhagen, so she is as local as they come. She perfectly embodies the youthful and vibrant spirit of the city, and in case of any doubt, each of her meals consists of rugbrød (together with whatever’s-in-the-fridge). Petra has truly excellent graphic design and layout skills, and, of course, an awesome Scandinavian design aesthetic.
Mathilde Hay
Visual Designer
Meet our French designer Mathilde, who brings a certain je ne sais quoi into the team that charms us all. She's from either Normandy... or Brittany... she's never quite sure! But we don't care about her geography knowledge, she's an awesome graphic designer, video editor, motion graphics expert and croissant-buyer.
Olivia Brix
Design and Communication Strategist
Danish Designer, Dancer, DJ and Dragonslayer. Ok maybe that last one was a bit of an exaggeration but tbh we wouldn’t put it past Olivia, she’s certainly nailed those other D-words. Olivia will not only be working creatively with our existing clients she is also our new communication strategist. If you’re lucky enough to hear from her, you know you’re one of our ‘chosen ones’.
Dahyeon Seo
Design Intern: July – December 2023
Say 안녕하세요 to the our newest team member, our design intern Dahyeon from South Korea. She blew us away with her diploma project about a funny/sad pet funeral service and her unique ability to graphically visualise emotions. Dahyeon is extremely patient with our terrible pronunciation of her name (hint: it’s “Die-Yon”) and her love affair with Copenhagen’s HAY flagship store is nearly as strong as her passion for design.
